Your wallet doesn’t have to be bottomless to use an electric patio heater

By Wishco

You are probably already aware of the price increase on everything from groceries to electricity and heating – trust us, we noticed too. But that doesn’t have to mean, that you can’t make use of an infrared patio heater for your outdoor area.
Read on to learn why you don’t have to worry.

Electric outdoor heating doesn’t have to be the tipping point for your monthly budget. In fact, it doesn’t even have to be put into the same category as the other heavy electrically powered machines in your home – like the dishwasher, washing machine, indoor heating, etc. The big difference lies in how the heater produces the heat, how much energy is needed to produce the heat – and of course how much heat you get out of it. Let’s start with what is probably most important to you: The spending.

One drink or 14 hours of infrared heating
Imagine a lovely summer night under the open sky. The comfort is perfect, and the vibes are here to stay. But alas the temperature starts dropping in tandem with the setting sun, and you need an extra outdoor heat source to keep the comfort – but no, that too expensive. Or is it?

A 1500-watt Wishco patio-heater like the MINI 1500 or the PRO 1500, actually only costs you roughly 4,30 SEK pr. hour. You can actually have the earlier mentioned outdoor night with friends and family, for less than the price of a drink at the nearest bar. Or if you are more of a coffee-at-the-local-café type of person, the calculation looks pretty much the same. 43 SEK for a cup of coffee or upwards of 10 hours of comfort on the terrace? It’s all up to you.

No heat is going to waste
The next fact about infrared patio heaters we want to make you aware of is how the heat they produce is used. If you want an outdoor heating source, you need to choose something that can produce shortwave, infrared heatwaves – Like a Wishco patio heater. This kind of heater only heats up the people and/or objects, that are directly hit by the heat waves. So, none of the produced heating rises into the air and disappears.

Speaking on the fiscal side, the operating cost and purchase price, aren’t actually the only factors – Making you truly feel the heat, that you are paying for, is just as important. An electrically powered Wishco that creates infrared heatwaves, makes for a significantly more effective heat source than a gas-driven patio heater. This means that all the energy you use will translate directly to the comforting heat when you use a Wishco patio heater.

*The operating price in the blog, is based on “Forsyningstilsynets” official records for the 1st quarter of 2022. Due to the heavily fluctuating, we can’t give a 100% concrete operating price. A Wishco MINI 1500 uses 1,5 kWh. We recommend that you cross-reference with the current energy prices in your area, for a correct measure.
