Environmentally friendly heating for a beautiful nature

Frida and Tomas wanted to have a heating lamp for their new croft in the beautiful Swedish nature – but they did not want anything with a huge environmental footprint. Luckily, they found Wishco MINI, and so they did not have to compromise.

Frida and Tomas have bought a croft close to Vaxholm, surrounded by the beautiful Swedish nature. It is close to water, and with nature right on the doorstep. That is just what they need, seeing as the couple lives in downtown Stockholm during the week, with careers and city life at full throttle. They gave each other a Wishco MINI 2000 as a present when moving in, for a very particular reason.

"I wanted to be able to sit and enjoy the nature, even if the temperatures are a bit low," Tomas says, in slightly stumbling Swedish. You see, he is from Stuttgart, and he does not quite master the Swedish language yet, he explains. The idea of a heating lamp for their nature spot was not exactly in Fridas spirit:

“Well, I was actually very much against something like a heating lamp, which would potentially be bad for the environment, but Tomas wanted one, and of course I also thought that it would be wonderful to enjoy the weather without having to bundle up in blankets and bulky sweaters.” she says with a smile. When Tomas found Wishco MINI 2000 and presented the concept to Frida, her attitude made a U-turn. Here, they were able to get heating in an environmentally friendly way.

A solution, which does not directly emit CO2
After having taken a closer look at Wishco - and the way the heating lamp works, Frida began to see that they would be able to sit outside without freezing and without having to worry about the environmental footprint and the emission of CO2.

“I was really surprised at how little impact a Wishco has on the environment. The fact that the warmth is focused, and only heats what the heat waves hit - that is pretty wild,” she says seriously, and with a smile she adds: “Oh yes, and without much of that that horrible, residual, red glare.” There is no doubt that it was the love for the environment that made the couple choose a Wishco for their nature spot in Vaxholm: a heating lamp that does not directly emit CO2, is Nordic in its expression and with many of the components being recyclable, once the heating lamp cannot go on anymore.

For Tomas, it is an added advantage that the heating lamp does not tax the environment and does not emit a red glare, and he is happy to have been able to convince Frida of the viability of the concept. Now, he can look forward to long summer evenings with Frida as well as the tiny new family member, due to arrive in June.

“It is a fantastic product,” Tomas adds, and Frida says that they ought to buy one for the balcony at the city apartment as well.
